Achieving SEI - CMMI with Esecurity Audit :
Esecurity Audit leads you towards SEI - CMMI into two phases; consulting
and appraisal.
Consulting Phase:
The consulting phase aims capability development within organization.
The core objectives include:
- Develop process improvement and model’s awareness
- Identify right gaps between actual practices and SEI - CMMI’s
- Define customized processes based on organization’s environment,
nature of products, and industry best practices to ensure compliance
against the desired level or process areas of SEI - CMMI
- Provide step-by-step guidance and training in institutionalizing
the newly developed processes and practices
- Perform mini-appraisal to check organization’s readiness for
formal appraisal.
Appraisal Phase: The objectives of appraisal phase are
as follows:
- Deliver SEI Authorized three-day ‘Introduction to SEI - CMMI’
training and Appraisal Tem Member (ATM) training (if required),
- Conduct SEI - CMMI appraisal against desired level or process areas.
The appraisal follows SEI authorized methodology called, ‘Standard
SEI - - CMMI Appraisal Method for Process Improvement (SCAMPI)’,
- Finally, conduct SCAMPI ‘A’ appraisal, that generates
level-rating on successful completion,
- Report the results to the organization under assessment, and the
SEI, as required by the framework.
